lyrics

Black star April 9, 1994
black star.. light choked by the sky
couldn’t bear the thought of everyone
watching how he passed the time
reading in the magazines
seeing on the t.v. screens
plain for everyone to see…

not everyone can be the sun
but it’s hard to convince the sun
he’s not the only one in the sky…

can’t stand the pressure
couldn’t stand the pressure
too many stargazers make him want to go supernova
burn out by his own flame
it all feels the same to him…

black star
light crash
black star ain’t ever coming back..

try to imagine and understand the pain..if he was only older, would it all have been the same? smother.. the one who didn’t want to shine.. never get a chance to grow black star light burned out where did you go?

1st verse and chorus

now when i. look up to see the sky I try but I can’t see my black star shine.
