Originally, I wrote this song in response to the Ontario government canceling its Basic Income Pilot Project. One of the musicians I was working with was very passionate about this topic and you could say it rubbed off on me. In this recording, I worked with Dan Konopka from OKGo who provided the drums. Also, I was fortunate to work with my old friend Steve Baric, who provided the lead guitar. We have known each other forever but have never done anything together. I think they both did a fantastic job!

She used to work three jobs to feed her kids. Due to automation, $he’s hit the skids. She lays awake worrying it’s something she did. Too late to imagine she was just outbid. American Dream. American Illusion. We’re all alive together. We’re all alive together.

Artificial Silicon Intelligence. New technology free from consequence. Prey on people that have no defence. Makes you wonder if the means justify the ends.
